I am a first year MS in CSE student at University at Buffalo.

I got my bachelor's degree from Mumbai Universty during which I was a research intern at Epocare. My research interests lie at the intersection of computer vision, reinforcement learning and deep learning. I also dabble a little in geometry, topology and algorithms.

Research

I am currently conducting research on meta reinforcement learning using imitation and manifold learning techniques. I am also working on identification of deep fakes and morphed images with Dr. David Doermann. My previous research work is given below.

Progressive Generative Adversarial Binary Networks for Music Generation
Manan Oza, Himanshu Vaghela, Kriti Srivastava
International Conference on Innovative Computing and Communication (ICICC), 2019
arXiv / code

A novel approach to progressively train a GAN with deterministic binary neurons to generate polyphonic music comprising of 8 tracks each.

Auto-Encoding Progressive Generative Adversarial Networks for 3D Multi Object Scenes
Vedant Singh, Manan Oza, Himanshu Vaghela, Pratik Kanani
International Conference of Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology (ICAIIT), 2019
arXiv / IEEE

Generates realistic high resolution 3D scenes of rooms, bedrooms, offices etc. with various pieces of furniture and objects.

MREAK : Morphological Retina Keypoint Descriptor
Himanshu Vaghela, Manan Oza, Sudhir Bagul
International Conference of Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology (ICAIIT), 2019
arXiv / IEEE / code

Inspired by the function of human pupil which dilates and constricts responding to the amount of light

Semi-Supervised Image-to-Image Translation
Manan Oza, Himanshu Vaghela, Sudhir Bagul
International Conference of Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology (ICAIIT), 2019
arXiv / IEEE / code

Translating one image onto another using the semi-supervised paradigm and GANs.
